All accredited bodies operating certification of persons accredited according to the standard LVS EN ISO/IEC 17024:2003 shall prepare a program, establishing the measures for changes in management system, documentation, the required resources and training of personnel, and terms for implementation of changes. Such program must be sent to LATAK by January 15, 2014 irrespective of the planned performance of assessment of accreditation surveillance, which will at the same time serve as assessment of the institution according to the standard LVS EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012. LATAK will assess conformity to the new standard during assessment of surveillance within the normal accreditation cycle and all LATAK assessments after January 15, 2014 will be performed according to the new standard.

Assessment of bodies according to the standard LVS EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 will cause no additional expenses, except for the cases when a need to perform a repeated assessment is determined, in order to ascertain that the institution complies with the new requirements. For an institution to receive accreditation according to the new standard, all non-conformities must be eliminated.

After July 1, 2015 accreditation of bodies according to the standard LVS EN ISO/IEC 17024:2003 will be canceled.
