LATAK offers 2-day training for employees of medical laboratories on the standard LVS EN ISO 15189:2013 “Medical laboratories. Requirements for quality and competence”.


Training objective: to identify and explain requirements of the new version of the standard.
The training is managed by: LATAK Lead Assessor, Mg.oec. Maira Sapata
Training venue: premises of the Ministry of Economics, Riga, Brīvības Street 55 k-2
Participation fee: EUR 100.- / For experts and potential experts of medical laboratories – free of charge.

Content of the training programme:


Day 1. Requirements for management


•    Field of activity. Regulatory directions. Terms, definitions.
•    Organization and management. Quality management system. Management of documents. Contracts on services.
•    Investigation in authorized laboratories. External services and supply. Advisory services. Examination of complaints. Management of non-conformities. Corrective action. Preventive action. Continuous improvement.
•    Management of protocols. Assessment and audits. Management review.


Day 2. Technical requirements


•    Personnel. Premise and environmental conditions. Devices, reagents and accessories.
•    Pre-investigation. Investigation processes. Ensuring of quality of investigation results.
•    Post-investigation processes. Reporting of results. Issuing of results. Management of laboratory information.
•    Practical work. Questions.
